Sammy's Corner
The true story of a little runt who was thrown away, then chosen, named, and loved.
The true story of a little runt who was thrown away, then chosen, named, and loved.
Sammy was born the runt of his litter, way out in the woods of Washington, Pennsylvania. His whole house was an old tipped-over barrel. He had no soft bed, no warm bowl, no name, and nobody who loved him.
Then one day a family found him, chose him, and carried him home. They gave him a bowl of his own, a blue bandana, and a name. For the next fifteen years, Sammy traveled the country with his family, a very good dog with a very good life.
His story is one of belonging: the one nobody wanted became the one who was loved most. And he always said God was just "dog" spelled backwards.
Volume One: Sammy Comes Home — a warm, full-color picture book that tells Sammy's true rescue story in his own voice, written for children ages 3 to 7. The first of an ongoing series.
Sammy was thrown away, then chosen, named, and loved. His story is a gentle picture of the way God loves each of us: He comes looking, He chooses us, and He carries us Home. That good news is tucked quietly inside every Sammy book.
