In partnership with Star Walker Ministries, LLC, Alfano Ministries offers guided Christian tours through Turkey — the land where the early church was born, where Paul preached, and where John wrote to the Seven Churches.
These private group tours (20+ people) combine world-class biblical teaching with visits to some of the most significant historical and archaeological sites in Christianity. Walk through ancient Ephesus, stand where the Altar of Zeus once towered in Pergamum, and explore the breathtaking beauty of Istanbul — a city where East meets West.
All tours are fully customizable to fit the needs of your group. Whether you want to adjust the itinerary, add extra days, or tailor the experience for your church or organization — we'll work with you to create the perfect journey.
A day-by-day look at your journey through Turkey's most sacred and historic sites.
Transfer to your hotel in Istanbul — originally known as Byzantium, then Constantinople. A fascinating city situated between two continents, Europe and Asia, where centuries of history await.
Today we visit Hagia Sophia, the Hippodrome and obelisk brought from Egypt, then the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern. We enjoy lunch and free time in the Grand Bazaar, where the air is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice.
Drive to Gallipoli, crossing the Dardanelles Strait by ferryboat. Visit ancient Troy and see the replica of the wooden horse. Then continue to Çanakkale for overnight.
First visit to Pergamum with its impressive sites including the Altar of Zeus, referred to as the "Throne of Satan" in the Book of Revelation. We continue on to Thyatira, famous for its purple dyes, before returning to the hotel. Enjoy a panoramic drive of the city of Smyrna before checking into the hotel overnight in Izmir.
Early morning start visiting Sardis, one of the most picturesque sites of the Seven Churches. In Philadelphia we see the remains of a Byzantine Basilica and 11th-century frescoes. Then on to Laodicea before reaching Hierapolis, where ancient hot springs cascade over steep cliffs forming stalactites and pools.
Today enjoy a visit to the site of Ephesus, which includes the Artemission Temple — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — as well as the Basilica of St. John and the Ephesus archaeological museum. Overnight in Kuşadası.
Fly from Izmir to Istanbul to connect with our flight home. We hope that the memories of your visit will accompany you whenever you travel through the pages of Revelation, reading about the Seven Churches — and that you will choose to come with us on your next Bible land journey.

Our journey begins in Istanbul — the only city in the world situated on two continents. Visit the Spice Bazaar where the air is filled with the enticing aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable herb and spice.
Today's visits begin with the Grand Bazaar — one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, with 61 covered streets and over 3,000 shops! Later, transfer to the port for a cruise on the Bosphorus — a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia, lined with old wooden villas, marble palaces, fortresses, and small fishing villages. Afternoon visit to the Underground Cistern and transfer to Istanbul airport for flight to Izmir.
Drive to Pergamum, modern-day Bergama. Explore the impressive Acropolis, the steepest theater in the world and the Asklepion. See the Altar of Zeus mentioned as the "Throne of Satan" in the Book of Revelation. Continue to Thyatira and visit the remains of the Basilica.
